Eugenia Kalnay (PhD ‘71) is a world-renowned meteorologist and the first woman to earn a PhD in Meteorology from MIT. Learn more about another Storied Woman of MIT: Pauline Morrow Austin (PhD ’42) who joined MIT’s Weather Radar Research Project at its inception in 1946 and went on to direct the project from 1956-1979.
